C Space chairwoman to headline EnterpriseCorp’s Evening of Entrepreneurship

Diane Hessan

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (May 9, 2018) — EnterpriseCorp will welcome the Chairman of C Space, a game-changing market research firm, and one of Boston’s most influential people, to keynote the 2018 Evening of Entrepreneurship.

Diane Hessan is a successful entrepreneur, investor, marketer, and author. She is currently working on a variety of projects in the Boston tech ecosystem, and is engaged in a wide-ranging longitudinal study of American voter attitudes.

She is also Chairman of C Space (formerly Communispace), where she was CEO and founder. C Space, “with a Blue Chip client list that would make a Madison Avenue giant jealous,” according to Advertising Age, is the leader in helping companies get insight and inspiration from their customers. Ms. Hessan led Communispace to 13 years of exponential growth before selling the company to Omnicom in 2011.  The company now has over 500 employees and offices in over a dozen countries.

She is co-author of the book Customer-Centered Growth: Five Strategies for Building Competitive Advantage. The book, a Business Week best-seller, was published in 11 languages.

Ms. Hessan has served on many boards, including Panera, Eastern Bank, Brightcove, Tufts University, CoachUp, Mass Challenge & Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. She received her M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and her B.A. in Economics from Tufts University.

“Diane’s expertise as a marketer and attitude of embracing customer-growth is exactly what our startup community needs right now,” Lisa Bajorinas, vice president of Entrepreneurship and Talent, said. “We look forward to bringing some of that Boston attitude to Louisville and learning how we can grow our entrepreneurial landscape to new heights.”

EnterpriseCorp’s Evening of Entrepreneurship will take place on Tuesday, June 26th from 5:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. at C2.  Each year, the event celebrates Louisville’s progress in building a sustainable, innovative community for entrepreneurs. This year is particularly special because it marks the 20th anniversary of EnterpriseCorp’s founding.

In addition to Hessan’s keynote address, there will be an update on the State of Entrepreneurship in the Greater Louisville region, along with the annual EnterpriseCorp Award, which recognizes the significant contributions of a local individual(s) to Greater Louisville’s startup community.
