Founding a new company carries all sorts of risks, not the least of which is the cost associated with leasing an office and hiring employees. But according to a new report published by SmartAsset, Kentucky ranks as one of the best places in the country to launch a new company in terms of startup costs. In compiling its figures, SmartAsset studied 80 cities across America to calculate the average cost for starting a new company, including filing fees, office space, utilities, legal and accounting fees and payroll.
