Governor makes more appointments to boards and commissions

FRANKFORT, Ky. (Aug. 24, 2012) – Gov. Steve Beshear has made the following appointment to Kentucky boards and commissions:

Gov. Beshear has appointed Mark E. Lynn to the State Fair Board to serve for a term expiring June 30, 2016.

· Mark E. Lynn, of Louisville, is an optometrist. He represents the state at large. The appointment replaces James Steven Wilson, whose term has expired.

Gov. Beshear has reappointed Ronald L. Carmicle to the board to serve for a term expiring June 30, 2016.

· Ronald L. Carmicle, of Louisville, is a construction executive at River City Development Corporation. He represents the State at large.

Gov. Beshear has appointed Jerry L. Powell as Judge-Executive of Trimble County.

· Jerry L. Powell, of Bedford, is the Trimble County Clerk. The appointment replaces Randy K. Stevens, who has resigned.
 
Gov. Beshear has reappointed Wayne D. Andrews to the Southern Regional Education Board to serve for a term expiring June 30, 2016.

· Wayne D. Andrews, of Morehead, is the president of Morehead State University.

Gov. Beshear has reappointed the following members to the Judicial Conduct Commission to serve for terms expiring Jan. 1 2016:

· Diane Logsdon, of Elizabethtown, is the vice president for planning and development at Hardin Memorial Hospital.

·  Joyce King Jennings, of Louisville, is an event planner and sales representative.

Gov. Beshear has reappointed the following members to the Commission on the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, to serve for terms expiring July 1, 2015.

· David S. Bayersdorfer, of Louisville, works in human resources for Jewish Hospital and St. Mary’s Healthcare. He represents the Kentucky Chapter of the Alexander Graham Bell Association.

· John B. Horsley, of Lexington, is a project manager at Lexmark International. He represents the Kentucky Association of the Deaf.

Gov. Beshear has appointed Brian C. O’Neill to the State Labor Relations Board to serve for the remainder of the unexpired term ending April 24, 2013.

· Brian C. O’Neill, of Bardstown, is a firefighter for the Louisville Fire Department. O’Neill shall serve as chair of the board. The appointment replaces Gary K. Best, who has resigned.

Gov. Beshear has reappointed Mollie H. Bowers to the board to serve for a term expiring April 24, 2016.

· Mollie H. Bowers, of Walton, is an arbitrator and mediator at Dispute Resolution Services.

Gov. Beshear has reappointed the following members to the Historic Properties Advisory Commission to serve for terms expiring Aug. 11, 2016:

· Sally Willis Meigs, of Louisville, is a community volunteer.

· Stephen L. Collins, of Shelbyville, is a funeral director at Hall-Taylor Funeral Home. Collins shall serve as chair of the commission.

· Clyde Reynolds Carpenter, of Lexington, is a professor of architecture and historic preservation at the University of Kentucky.

Gov. Beshear has reappointed John Daniel Kemp to the Commercial Mobile Radio Service Emergency Telecommunications Board of Kentucky to serve for a term expiring Aug. 15, 2016.

· John Daniel Kemp is mayor of Hopkinsville. He represents mayors of a first or second class city.

Gov. Beshear has appointed the following members to the Statewide Advisory Council for Vocational Rehabilitation:

· Tyler Abraham Levy, of Louisville, is a vocational rehabilitation participant. He represents individuals with disabilities. The appointment replaces John G. Riesenberg whose term has expired. Levy shall serve for a term expiring May 20, 2015.

· Anthony F. LoBianco, of Lexington, is a research assistant at IHDI. He represents individuals with disabilities. The appointment replaces Chastity Y. Ross, whose term has expired. LoBianco shall serve for a term expiring May 20, 2015.

· Margretta G. Hylton, of Cannel City, is an exceptional children consultant for the Kentucky Department of Education. She represents state education agencies. The appointment replaces Diane D. Bailey, who has resigned. Hylton shall serve for the remainder of the unexpired term ending May 20, 2013.

Gov. Beshear has reappointed the following members to the council to serve for terms expiring May 20, 2015:

· Christine B. Edwards, of Walton. She represents business, industry and labor.

· Irene Dervin, of Winchester, is owner of Phoenix Business Consulting. She represents individuals with disabilities.

· Connie R. Dotson, of Lexington, is a timekeeper at Veterans Affairs Medical Center. She represents disability advocacy groups.

· John L. Mathias, of Henderson, is a marketing specialist for the Henderson County Chamber of Commerce. He represents business, industry and labor.

· Thomas M. West, of Lexington, is executive director of the Kentucky Workforce Investment Board Kentucky. He represents the Workforce Investment Board.

· Roberta W. Alston, of Louisville, is a training coordinator for KY-SPIN Inc. She represents parent training and information centers.

Gov. Beshear has reappointed the following members to the Kentucky Heritage Land Conservation Fund Board to serve for terms expiring July 15, 2015:

· Phyllis A. Amyx, of Campton, is a retired librarian. She represents the Kentucky Association of Conservation Districts.

· Hugh N. Archer, of Lawrenceburg, is an attorney and nonprofit director for the Kentucky Natural Lands Trust. He represents persons who have at least five years of experience in natural resources land acquisition.

· George William Little Jr., of Hartford, is a retired cemetery CEO. He represents the Cumberland Chapter of the Sierra Club.

Gov. Beshear has appointed the following members to the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Advisory Committee to serve for terms expiring Nov. 15, 2014:

· Melissa L. Zook, of Berea, is a physician at Bluegrass Primary Care. She represents family practice physicians. The appointment replaces Sherry G. Jones, whose term has expired.

· William C. Thornbury Jr., of Glasgow, is a physician at Medical Association of Southern Kentucky. He represents family practice physicians. The appointment replaces Corazon A. Veza, whose term has expired.

· Aaron E. McIntosh, of Midway, is a pharmacist at Capital Pharmacy. He represents pharmacists. The appointment replaces Stephen F. Hill, whose term has expired.

· Kerry S. Caperell, of Prospect, is a physician at Kosair Children’s Hospital. He represents pediatricians. The appointment replaces Christopher A. Cunha, whose term has expired.

Gov. Beshear has reappointed the following members to the committee to serve for terms expiring Nov. 15, 2014:

· G. Mark Tussey, of Lawrenceburg, is a physician at Thoroughbred Cardiology. He represents practicing physicians from any specialty.

· Scott Thomas Hedges, of Louisville, is a physician at Seven Counties Services Inc. He represents psychiatrists in a community mental health center.

Gov. Beshear has appointed the following members to the Board of Directors of the Louisville Arena Authority:

·  Lesa A. Seibert, of Fisherville, is the owner and president of Xstreme Media LLC. The appointment replaces Elaine M. Musselman, whose term has expired. Siebert shall serve for a term expiring Jan. 9, 2016.

·  Lee W. Kirkwood, of Louisville, is the CEO of United Mail. The appointment replaces Timothy R. Corrigan, whose term has expired. Kirkwood shall serve for a term expiring Jan. 9, 2016.

·  Eric Gunderson, of Louisville, is founder and CEO of Gunderson Marketing. The appointment replaces Todd L. Blue, who has resigned. Gunderson shall serve for the remainder of the unexpired term ending Jan. 9, 2013.

Gov. Beshear has reappointed Daniel C. Ulmer to the board to serve for a term expiring Jan. 9, 2016.

Gov. Beshear has appointed the following members to the Kentucky Emergency Response Commission to serve for terms expiring April 17, 2014:

· Edallen York Burtner is mayor of Winchester. He represents local government. The appointment replaces Timothy A. Conley, whose term has expired.

· Chad R. Aull, of Lexington, is assistant to the lieutenant governor. He represents the Kentucky Lieutenant Governor’s Office. The appointment replaces Bill Burger, whose term has expired.

· Keith A. Peercy, of Richmond, is a Kentucky State Police lieutenant colonel. He represents vehicle enforcement. The appointment replaces Mitchell J. Bailey, whose term has expired.

· Shawn Marie Herron, of Louisville, is a staff attorney III instructor for the Commonwealth of Kentucky Department of Criminal Justice Training. She represents local government. The appointment replaces Rob Rothenburger, whose term has expired.

Gov. Beshear has reappointed the following members to the commission to serve for terms expiring April 17, 2014:

· Kathy L. Fowler, of Taylorsville, is assistant director of Public Health Protection and Safety. She represents health services.

· David Guy, of Louisville, is director of system restoration and dispatch at LG&E and KU Energy LLC. He represents persons with technical expertise in the emergency response field.

· Henry W. Bertram, of Falmouth, is the Pendleton County judge-executive. He represents local government.

·  Larry Joe Baer II, of Ashland, is a firefighter for the City of Ashland. He represents firefighters.

· Stacy A McDonald, of Frankfort, works in corporate security and fire services at Toyota. She represents business and industry.

· Richard K. Payne, of Philpot, is emergency management director for the Daviess County Fiscal Court. He represents local government.

· Ronnie L. Day, of Morehead, is the executive director of the Kentucky Fire Commission at the Kentucky Community and Technical College System. He represents the Kentucky Commission of Fire Protection Personnel Standards and Education.

· N. Jerome Mansfield, of Paducah, is an emergency management analyst for U.S. Enrichment Corp. He represents business and industry.

· William W. Swope, of Lexington, is the state fire marshal. He represents the state fire marshal.

· Carl L. Hamblin Jr., of Calvert City, is a safety and environmental engineer at ATOFINA Chemicals Inc. He represents business and industry.

· Leonard Wayne Shepperson Sr., of Danville, is director of Danville-Boyle County Emergency Management. He represents local government.

· Doug Tackett, of Pikeville, is a 911 coordinator and emergency management director for Pike County. He represents the Kentucky Emergency Management Association.

· Ryan M. Halloran, of Frankfort, is an attorney at the Office of the Attorney General. He represents the Attorney General’s Office.

· Brig. Gen. John Heltzel, of Lawrenceburg, is the director of emergency management for the Department of Military Affairs. He presents emergency management.
 
Gov. Beshear has appointed Tina Volz to the State Board of Physical Therapy to serve for a term expiring Aug. 2, 2016.

· Tina Volz, of Louisville, is director of physical therapy at Baptist Hospital East. The appointment replaces Janice M. Kuperstein, whose term has expired.

Gov. Beshear has appointed the following members to the KATS Network Advisory Council:

· Todd Edward Stephens, of Lexington, is an assistive technology specialist at Independence Place. He represents a state center for independent living. The appointment replaces Sharli P. Rogers, whose term has expired. Edwards shall serve for a term expiring March 31, 2015.

· Lee Muncy, of Shelbyville, is a KDE-KCTS engineer for the Commonwealth of Kentucky. He represents a state educational agency. The appointment replaces Toyah L. Robey, whose term has expired. Muncy shall serve for a term expiring March 31, 2015.

· Nathan P. Bolton, of Bowling Green, is a professional speaker. He represents individuals with disabilities who use assistive technology. The appointment replaces Elizabeth Schomaker, who has resigned. Bolton shall serve for the remainder of the unexpired term ending March 31, 2013.

· Ricky L. Boggess, of Owensboro, is a retired teacher of the visually impaired. He represents individuals with disabilities who use assistive technology. The appointment replaces Christine Fiore, who has resigned. Boggess shall serve for the remainder of the unexpired term ending March 31, 2014.

Gov. Beshear has reappointed the following members to the council to serve for terms expiring March 31, 2015:

· Stephen David Matheis, of Louisville, is a branch manager at the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation. He represents the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation.

· Jenny Tyree, of Louisville, is an assistive technology administrator for the Office for the Blind. She represents Office for the Blind.

· Rowena G. Holloway, of Willisburg, is an internal policy analyst for the Kentucky Commission on the Deaf and Hard of Hearing. She represents the Commission on the Deaf and Hard of Hearing.

Gov. Beshear has appointed Jana R. Fattic to the Kentucky Board of certification of Wastewater Systems Operators to serve for the remainder of the unexpired term ending Aug. 31, 2013.

Gov. Beshear has appointed Jimmy R. Evans as City Commissioner for the City of Hustonville to serve according to the provisions of Section 152 of the Kentucky Constitution.

Gov. Beshear has appointed the following members to the Kentucky Early Intervention System Interagency Coordinating Council:

· Laura Beard, of Falmouth, is KY/SEED lead family contact at Kentucky Partnership for Families and Children. She represents parents. The appointment replaces Darla A. Meredith, whose term has expired. Beard shall serve for a term expiring April 20, 2015.

· Catherine Faughn Lowe, of Lexington, is a registered nurse and childcare health consultant at the Lexington Health Department. She represents parents. The appointment replaces Ginger O. Paul, whose term has expired. Lowe shall serve for a term expiring April 20, 2015.

· Tonya Michell Shea, of Benton, is a speech language pathologist at Easter Seals West KY. She represents public-private providers.

Gov. Beshear has appointed Roy Shawn Rich to the Pest Control Advisory Board to serve for a term expiring June 17, 2014.

· Roy Shawn Rich, of Elizabethtown, is CEO at E-Town Exterminating Co. Inc. He represents the pest control industry. The appointment replaces Roy E. Rich, whose term has expired.

Gov. Beshear has reappointed Carol Wilding Hebel to the Board of Directors of the Kentucky Racing Health and Welfare Fund Inc. to serve for a term expiring Sept. 8, 2013, or until her respective successor is selected and qualified. Order effective Sept. 8, 2012.

· Carol Wilding Hebel, of Louisville, is a real estate agent.

Gov. Beshear has appointed Oscar Barton Davidson to the Kentucky Water Well Certification Board to serve for the remainder of the unexpired term ending Aug. 16, 2013.

· Oscar Barton Davidson, of Richmond, is a hydrogeologist for the Kentucky Geological Survey. He represents hydrologists or hydrologist from the Kentucky Geological Survey. The appointment replaces James S. Dinger, who has resigned.
