Citizens Commerce announces officer promotions

William Wilson

LEXINGTON, Ky. (June 6, 2018) — Citizens Commerce President and CEO Michelle Oxley has announced the following officer promotions: William P. Wilson, Jr., executive VP, credit administration; Eli Barber, executive VP, CFO/COO; Mark Yates, Lexington market president; and Carol Rich Sr., VP operations.

Wilson, chief credit officer, graduated from the University of Kentucky with a bachelor of science degree in business. He has over 40 years of commercial banking experience. Wilson joined Citizens Commerce in 2012.

Eli Barber

Barber serves as the bank’s CFO and COO. He has been employed with Citizens Commerce in a variety of roles since 2003. He has a bachelor of business administration degree with an emphasis in finance from Georgetown College, as well as a master’s of business administration from UK. Barber was named an emerging leader by the Kentucky Bankers Association in 2016.

Mark Yates

Yates has been a commercial lender with Citizens Commerce since 2011. He is a graduate of UK where he received a bachelor of science degree in management. As Lexington market president, he will head the expansion efforts into the Lexington market.

Carol Rich

Rich serves as the senior operations officer for the bank. She has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from UK. Rich started with Citizens Commerce in 2012.

Citizens Commerce is a $230-million community bank serving Woodford, Franklin, Jessamine and Fayette counties. A Lexington office opened June 1 at 4097 Nichols Park, next to Lowe’s on Nicholasville Road.
