LEXINGTON, Ky. (June 11, 2018) – Allegiant last week launched new nonstop service from Lexington to Destin, Fl., via Destin-Fort Walton Beach Airport (VPS). To celebrate, the company is offering one-way fares on the new route for as low as $62.
“We’re excited to launch Lexington’s only nonstop flights to Florida’s Emerald Coast,” said Drew Wells, Allegiant vice president of planning and revenue. “Destin is a premier destination with fun activities for the entire family and plenty of fun in the sun.”
The new seasonal flights will operate twice weekly from Blue Grass Airport (LEX) to Destin-Fort Walton Beach Airport (VPS). With this addition, Allegiant offers nonstop service to seven cities from LEX.

Walton Beach,” said Eric Frankl, executive director at Blue Grass Airport. “Our already strong partnership with Allegiant continues to grow and provide opportunities for travelers from central Kentucky to reach new vacation destinations. This route will certainly be popular with leisure travelers visiting the Destin area, but we are also hopeful that Floridians will come to Lexington to discover the beauty of the Bluegrass region, as well as its equine and bourbon heritage.”
