Greater Louisville Inc. honors small businesses with upcoming Inc.credible Awards

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (Aug. 29, 2012) — The Greater Louisville Inc. 2012 Inc.credible Award winners will be announced Sept. 11 during the Celebration of Small Business Luncheon, presented by Commonwealth Bank & Trust.

Now in its 12th year, the event recognizes and celebrates the more than 25,000 small businesses in the area and their impact on Louisville and beyond. Louisville boasts 29,859 private-sector businesses, of which 97 percent have fewer than 100 employees – making this sector a vital pillar of the regional economy.

The awards, sponsored by Strothman and Company, are presented for a range of categories:

—   The Greening/Sustainability Award is given to the company with the best green practices and energy efficiency.

—   The Inclusion Award honors businesses that champion diversity internally and in their business practices.

—   Innovation/Technology Utilization Award is bestowed upon the company that best utilizes technology to advance everyday productivity and revenue.

—   The International/Global Award is awarded to the business with the most significant international commerce and best global interaction plan.

—   The Phoenix Award is given to a company that has endured a uniquely challenging circumstance and emerged stronger and poised for growth.

—   The Non Profit Impact Award is open to all Greater Louisville area 501(c)(3) organizations, at least three years old, with local governance.

—   The Very Small Business of the Year Award (one to nine employees) and the Small Business of the Year Award (10 to 100 employees), open to companies that exemplify both business and civic leadership.

Registration is required and tickets are available for $65 for individuals, $510 per table of 8 and $750 for sponsorships.

The luncheon is from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Archibald Cochran Ballroom of The Galt House.
