Gov. Bevin makes appointments to Kentucky boards and commissions

FRANKFORT, Ky. (July 26, 2018) — Gov. Matt Bevin has made the following appointments to Kentucky boards and commissions:

Karen Finan and Damon Van Allen have been appointed as members of the Kentucky Community and Technical College System Board of Regents. 

  • Karen Finan, of Ft. Mitchell, is the president and CEO for the Northern Kentucky Regional Alliance. She will serve for a term expiring July 21, 2024; and 
  • Damon Van Allen, of Covington, is senior vice president and community investment officer for Federal Home Loan Bank of Cincinnati. He will serve for a term expiring July 21, 2024. 

KCTCS is governed by a 14-member Board of Regents. Eight members are appointed by the Governor and six are elected members: two members of the teaching faculty elected by faculty; two members of the nonteaching personnel elected by nonteaching personnel; and two members of the student body elected by students.
