Gov. Bevin makes appointments to Kentucky boards and commissions

FRANKFORT, Ky. – Gov. Matt Bevin has made the following appointments to Kentucky boards and commissions:

Kelli D. Hood and Jeffrey Michael Parsons have been appointed as members of the Kentucky Board of Licensed Professional Counselors. 

  • Kelli D. Hood, of Shelbyville, is the clinic director of Shelbyville Comprehensive Treatment. She will represent licensed professional clinical counselors and serve for a term expiring Sept. 23, 2022; and 
  • Dr. Jeffrey Michael Parsons, of Berea, is a counseling professor at Lindsey Wilson College. He will represent licensed professional clinical counselors and serve for a term expiring Sept. 23, 2022. 

The Kentucky Board of Licensed Professional Counselors consists of seven gubernatorial appointees. The Board regulates and controls the licensing and conduct of professional counselors within the Commonwealth.

Katherine Bennett has been appointed as a member of the Frankfort/Franklin County Planning Commission. 

  • Katherine Bennett, of Frankfort, is an attorney. She will serve at the pleasure of the Governor. 

The Frankfort/Franklin County Planning Commission regulates all the planning and zoning contracts within the City of Frankfort and Franklin County. The Governor may appoint one member to the Commission. 

Kristi Hilbert has been appointed as a member of the Board of Nursing. 

  • Kristi Hilbert, of Bellevue, is the director of nursing for Baptist Life Communities. She will represent Leading Age Kentucky and serve for a term expiring June 30, 2021. 

The Board of Nursing is made up of 16 gubernatorial appointees. The Board approves programs of nursing and regulates and controls the licensing and conduct of nurses within the Commonwealth.

Jeffrey Lynn Eaton has been appointed as a member of the Kentucky Fish and Wildlife Resources Commission. 

  • Jeffrey Lynn Eaton, of Lawrenceburg, is a pastor. He will represent the 6th Fish and Wildlife District and serve for a term expiring Aug. 13, 2020. 

The Fish and Wildlife Resources Commission is a nine-member board which oversees and advises the operations of the Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources, including budget issues, hunting and fishing season dates, and various regulations pertaining to the conservation of hunting, fishing and wildlife resources. The Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources is attached to the Tourism, Arts and Heritage Cabinet.

Nancy Bridwell Albright, David Cole Mitcham and Brad W. Rister have been appointed as members of the Transportation Engineering and Engineering-Related Services Selection Committee. 

  • Nancy Bridwell Albright, of Lexington, is a research engineer for the University of Kentucky. She will serve for a term expiring Oct. 2, 2019; and
  • David Cole Mitcham, of Lexington, is a senior project engineer for Kentucky American Water Co. He will serve for a term expiring Oct. 2, 2019; and 
  • Brad W. Rister, of Lexington, is a program manager for the University of Kentucky. He will serve for a term expiring Oct. 2, 2019. 

The Transportation Engineering and Engineering-Related Services Selection Committee assists the Transportation Cabinet in procuring engineering or engineering-related services. 

Raymond Christopher Skates has been appointed as a member of the Kentucky Oral History Commission. 

  • Raymond Christopher Skates, of Lawrenceburg, is a communications adviser to Gov. Matt Bevin. He will serve for a term expiring Feb. 2, 2019. 

The Kentucky Oral History Commission was created to preserve the life experiences and knowledge of Kentuckians.
