Southwest begins new nonstop service to Houston

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Southwest Airlines has announced the beginning of new, daily, nonstop service to William P. Hobby Airport (HOU) in Houston, Tx. from Louisville International Airport (SDF). With this service, additional connections are available to select cities across the Southwest network. The airline will operate the flight using 143-seat Boeing 737 aircraft.

“Houston is a top-15 destination for Louisville air travelers and we are thrilled to see Southwest’s continued investment in the region with the addition of this route,” said Dan Mann, executive director of the Louisville Regional Airport Authority. “This new flight should be popular for business and leisure travelers in both cities.”

Houston is the first of two recently announced Southwest additions at Louisville International. Southwest will also begin daily nonstop service between Louisville and Dallas Love Field (DAL) on January 7, 2019.

With this announcement, Southwest offers 14 daily nonstop flights to eight destinations from Louisville including Baltimore, Chicago-Midway, Denver, Las Vegas, Orlando, Phoenix and Tampa. Tickets are now available
