Rupp Arena rises in rank to No. 30 venue in the U.S.

LEXINGTON, Ky. — The new rankings are out and Rupp Arena has moved up the charts.  Pollstar’s Q3 Ticket Sales report has Rupp Arena slotted in at 30th in the US and 64th worldwide. Their mid-year report had the arena ranked #38 in the US and #77 Worldwide.

The event line-up that helped push Rupp Arena up eight places in the ranking included Justin TimberlakeMarvel Universe Live, and the Red White & Boom Music Festival featuring performances by Brad Paisley, Toby Keith, and Chris Young, to name a few. This is the third time this year the arena landed on the Pollstar ranking list. Before this year, the last time Rupp Arena made the Pollstar ranking was in 2016.

Pollstar is the concert industry’s leading publication that supplies information to managers, agents, and promoters of the live entertainment world. OVG Facilities took over event programming for Rupp Arena in January and since then has increased bookings by 100 percent over last year and has announced several exciting events. Currently, the all-star line-up to close out 2018 includes performances by Chris Stapleton, A Perfect Circle, Paw Patrol Live, Jeff Dunham, Rock & Worship Christmas, Halestorm, Tran Siberian Orchestra, Snoop Dogg, and Alabama.
