LEXINGTON, Ky. — Jeffrey S. Thomison has joined Community Trust and Investment Company’s Wealth and Trust Management team as vice president, senior equity manager and strategist, Andy D. Waters, president and CEO, announced Friday.
As a key member of the Wealth and Trust Management team, Thomison is responsible for managing the overall equity strategy, including analyzing individual common stocks, mutual funds and fixed income securities. In addition, he will manage individual portfolios according to clients’ objectives.
His office is located at 100 East Vine Street in downtown Lexington, Ky.
With over 30 years of experience in the equity arena, Thomison will be an integral part of the leadership of the investment department.
“Mr. Thomison brings a wealth of skills and knowledge to Community Trust and Investment Company,” Waters said. “We are looking forward to the opportunity to introduce him to our current and future clients, as we feel Jeff is a great complement to our existing investment team.”
Thomison earned a bachelor of business administration (B.B.A.) degree from the University of Kentucky with a major in finance and a minor in mathematics. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst, which is the highest designation one can receive in the financial industry.
Thomison has gained regional and national attention for his credentials. He has been featured in publications such as Ticker, BuySide and Wall Street Transcript, and has appeared on CNBC and Bloomberg TV. He is also a 4-time winner of Wall Street Journal’s Best on the Street national stock picking award.
Thomison grew up in Madisonville, Ky., currently resides in Louisville, and plans to move to Lexington in 2019. He is actively involved in the community and enjoys spending time with his wife and four children.
