LEXINGTON, Ky. — Kentucky American Water has announced the appointment of Brian Queen as chief financial officer for American Water’s Southeast Division, including Kentucky and Tennessee American Water. Queen will report to Sue Cole, senior director of finance for American Water.
In this position, Queen will be responsible for partnering with state and functional business leaders on all financial aspects of the business, including financial reporting, budgeting and business development.
Queen, a native of Greenup, Ky., previously worked as the senior finance manager, financial analysis and planning for Lexmark International, Inc. located in Lexington, Ky. In this role, Queen implemented numerous process improvements related to cost analysis and decision making, as well as strategic business planning.
Queen holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a Masters of Business Administration from Morehead State University and serves on the board of the Lexington Dream Factory. Queen and his wife Courtney reside in Lexington with their two children.
