Wednesday’s Pro-Am free to public at Barbasol Championship

Complimentary admission and parking to event

NICHOLASVILLE, Ky. — The Barbasol Championship announced this Wednesday’s Pro-Am would be a free event, open to the public. Complimentary admission, parking and shuttle service from Southland Christian Church is included in this opportunity.

The Barbasol Championship Pro-Am brings together a combination of some of the best golfers in the world teaming up with amateur players from around the region. Each pairing in the 48-team field will feature four amateur golfers and one professional on the front nine and then change out with another pro for the back nine.

“Pro-Am events are an exciting opportunity for players and fans alike,” said Barbasol Championship Tournament Director Bryan Pettigrew. “They offer those new to the sport or interested in watching live golf for the first time a chance to see PGA Tour legends like John Daly and Troy Merritt along with up and coming young guns who hail from the Bluegrass such as Hunter Stewart, Cooper Musselman and Chip McDaniel.”

A portion of all proceeds from the Barbasol Championship Pro-Am benefit Caddie127, the charitable arm of the tournament which supports local philanthropic organizations that benefit and empower women and children. Caddie127 has named All God’s Children, Kentucky Children’s Hospital (UK Healthcare), the Kentucky Region of the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Refuge for Women, and the Woodhill Community Center as their 2019 charitable partners.
