ClearPath Mutual appoints new claims manager and supervisor

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — ClearPath Mutual Insurance has announced the appointments of Robin Engleking as the company’s claims manager and Linda Ladegast as claims supervisor.

Engleking joined the company while it was KESA, The Kentucky Workers’ Compensation Fund, as a senior claims representative in 1995. She brought with her a vast amount of experience with other carriers handling multiple types of coverages. In 2002 Engleking was promoted to assistant claims manager, where she was responsible for the oversight of new claims processors and claims processors, and assisted in the oversight of claims pepresentatives.

“Robin has knowledge of every aspect of workers’ compensation claims,” said Kevin Fallahay, ClearPath Mutual vice president of claims. “She knows the laws inside out and is well-versed on the technical side, including all aspects of reporting requirements. She has demonstrated qualities of a great supervisor over the years. ClearPath Mutual is lucky to have Robin as a claims manager.”

Ladegast brings over 20 years of Kentucky workers’ compensation claims experience to her new role. Most recently, Ladegast held the position of Workers’ Compensation claims manager at Kentucky Hospital Association in Louisville. During this time, she gained leadership experience and further knowledge of Kentucky workers’ compensation law and administrative regulations. Her success in prior roles, such as claims adjuster and senior claims adjuster, has provided Ladegast with extensive knowledge of the entire claims process, and a strong background in claims handling.

ClearPath Mutual Insurance Company began operations on Jan. 1, 2018, in Louisville. ClearPath Mutual is a monoline workers’ compensation insurance carrier with approximately 7,300 policyholders and nearly $54 million in premiums, making it the second largest carrier in Kentucky in 2018, according to National Association of Insurance Commissioners data. ClearPath Mutual is also licensed in Tennessee and plans to begin writing workers’ compensation coverage there by the end of 2019.
