The Kentucky accounting firm of Potter & Company has merged with Blue & Co., an independent accounting and advisory firm headquartered in Carmel, Ind.
The newly combined company will operate under the Blue name and will have more than 270 employees in seven locations throughout Indiana, Ohio and Kentucky. In addition to its Carmel offices, Blue has locations in Columbus, Indianapolis and Seymour, Ind.; Columbus, Ohio; and Louisville. The merger with Potter adds a Lexington office and a second Louisville location.
Potter was founded in 1918 in Lexington and was recently selected as one of the nation’s 100 Best Accounting Firms to Work For (2009) by Accounting Today magazine.
Blue & Co. was established in 1970 and has been ranked in the top 100 U.S. public accounting and consulting firms for more than 10 years, according to Public Accounting Report.
