NKU vice provost joins Gateway Foundation board

FLORENCE, Ky. — Dr. Ande Durojaiye, vice provost of undergraduate affairs at Northern Kentucky University, joined the Gateway Community & Technical College Foundation Board. His nomination was approved at the Gateway Foundation Board meeting on Nov. 7.

Durojaiye was recommended to the Gateway Foundation Board by NKU president, Dr. Ashish Vaidya. This furthers the relationship that Gateway and NKU currently have, partnering together to remove barriers to higher education, create better lives for students and empower the workforce for the Northern Kentucky region.

Durojaiye came to NKU in February 2018. Previously, he has served as director of institutional equity at Michigan State University and chair of the Big Ten Academic Alliance Equity/Affirmative Action Committee. Durojaiye also previously served as the executive director of equity, inclusion and compliance and Title IX coordinator at Florida Atlantic University. Durojaiye earned a Doctorate of Higher Education Leadership from Vanderbilt University in 2017 and holds a Juris Doctorate from Georgetown University Law Center.

Durojaiye’s addition brings the total number of executives serving on the board to 23. The Gateway Foundation Board members represent a broad array of industries and organizations. The Gateway Foundation, created in 2003, is a private 501(c)3 organization. The Gateway Foundation Board and its committees generally convene quarterly. The current committees include Annual Fund, Development, Finance and Nominating. Several other committees meet periodically as needed including Investment and Executive Committees.
