By Jacqueline Pitts, The Bottom Line

FRANKFORT, Ky. — After the highly-anticipated 2019 General Election, Senate Majority Leader Damon Thayer, R-Georgetown, and Senate Minority Leader Morgan McGarvey, D-Louisville, will break down election results and what they mean for 2020 at the Kentucky Chamber’s Legislative Preview Conference on Dec. 16.

Thayer and McGarvey will be featured on a Kentucky Politics: Post-Election panel with Jacqueline Pitts, managing editor of The Bottom Line, to discuss Kentucky’s new Democratic governor-elect Andy Beshear, the GOP victories in all other statewide elections, and what could get done in the 2020 legislative session with divided government.

Other key discussions at the 2020 Legislative Preview Conference will be the leaders’ panel with Senate President Robert Stivers, R-Manchester, and House Speaker David Osborne, R-Prospect, as well as a panel on budget and revenue options as the legislature prepares to craft the state’s next two-year budget.

Important discussions about criminal justice, education, health care, infrastructure investment, and more will also be had with legislators and issue experts.
