New compliance officer named for Kentucky Exposition Center

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Chris Brawner has been promoted to the compliance officer position for the Kentucky Exposition Center and Kentucky International Convention Center.

“Safety and compliance are of utmost importance to our team and we decided to create a new role that will dedicate a focus to that end.” said David S. Beck, President and CEO of Kentucky Venues. “Chris brings years of institutional knowledge and experience from his prior role. We are excited to have him in his new role to help make our client’s events an even bigger success.”

As the Compliance Officer, Brawner is tasked with ensuring the safety and compliance of regulatory standards. He will provide clients with information and regulations prior to their event, and will work with clients from the early planning stages through the end of their event.

Brawner was Fire Marshall and Occupational Safety and Health Administration certified in 2016. In previous years he served as an Event Coordinator, Assistant Director of Venue Services and Assistant Director of Public Safety and has helped events run smoothly and kept clients within safety standards.

“I have been around the Kentucky Exposition Center for nine years and have a working knowledge of what goes into shows from load-in to move-out. Through my previous roles, I have built good working relationships with different offices and departments in Frankfort that will help in navigating the different regulations and rules our clients encounter.” Brawner said.
