NetGain Technologies acquires Progressive Computer Systems

RALEIGH, N.C. — NetGain Technologies, the premier managed IT services provider in the Central and Southeastern U.S., announced Monday the acquisition of Progressive Computer Systems Inc. (PCS), a leading IT services provider serving the Triangle and Triad areas of North Carolina.

Co-founded by Lisa Mitchell and Mark Michal in 1987, PCS’s vision was to be a computer company that would operate with both integrity and a real desire to excel in customer care.

The acquisition was a combined effort between the ownership of NetGain Technologies and PCS. Both co-founders and employees of PCS will join the NetGain team and continue to provide outstanding service and support to clients.

“We’re thrilled to welcome PCS’s incredibly talented team, service capabilities, and product offerings into the NetGain family,” said Tim Burke, CEO of NetGain Technologies. “We look forward to leveraging PCS’s impressive track record of success to expand our footprint across the Southeast and continue delivering best-in-class service and products to all of our clients.”

While the focus on delivering excellent service to current clients will stay the same, greater investments in sales and marketing will help fuel the growth of the organization’s footprint in the state of North Carolina.

“Our clients and employees were major factors in our partnership decision. NetGain’s high level of client focus, coupled with their culture and family-first values, make them a great fit for our organization,” said Lisa Mitchell, co-founder of PCS. “In addition, together we can provide more robust services to our clients and expand the depth of our expertise, which benefits our clients and employees alike.”

NetGain’s goal is to provide best-in-class managed I.T. services to small and medium size organizations across the Central and Southeastern U.S. This partnership expands NetGain’s eastbound position in the U.S. with continued pursuit of acquisition opportunities throughout these regions.
