The Kentucky Institute for International Studies, a consortium of 21 schools that provides study-abroad opportunities for students and faculty, has relocated from Murray State University to Western Kentucky University. KIIS Executive Director Chris Bierwirth said the move will help provide greater opportunities for both students and faculty. Since its inception in 1975, KIIS has sent more than 8,400 students and more than 300 faculty members abroad. KIIS currently offers opportunities in 18 countries and 26 different programs.
Construction work has begun on a new 72,000-s.f. speculative building at The Kentucky Transpark in Bowling Green. The building, which can be expanded by another 45,000 s.f., will be a pre-engineered steel structure with steel-insulated panels, located on 10 acres next to Cannon Automotive Solutions Inc.
