State innovation board plans 6 stakeholder meetings

FRANKFORT, Ky. — The Kentucky Workforce Innovation Board (KWIB) has scheduled six Workforce Investment and Opportunity Act (WIOA) state plan meetings for stakeholder and consumer input across the state from March 9-13. The proposed 2020 state plan is available for viewing online at WIOA.

WIOA is a federally-funded program that helps job seekers secure good jobs while providing businesses with the skilled workers they need to compete in the global economy. States must have approved unified or combined state plans to receive federal funding for core programs such as workforce education and training services.

Below are the details for each stakeholder session. All times are local.
