LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Stoll Keenon Ogden PLLC announced Tuesday it has entered a co-counsel arrangement with Vickie Yates Brown Glisson, a noted healthcare and health insurance attorney.

Glisson has extensive experience in the healthcare industry, having previously served as secretary of the Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services, (2015–18), and president and CEO of Nucleus: Kentucky’s Innovation Parks, LLC, (2008–15), among many other leadership roles in the industry.

“Vickie is highly regarded in this area of the law, and Vickie’s knowledge, reputation and experience, combined with that of the attorneys here at Stoll Keenon Ogden, will be assets to those clients we will jointly represent,” said SKO Managing Director P. Douglas Barr.

As cabinet secretary for one of the largest agencies in Kentucky government, Glisson oversaw most of the state’s human services and healthcare programs, more than 8,000 employees and an annual budget of more than $12 billion in service to millions of Kentuckians.

Likewise, she is an accomplished attorney, known for her legal-industry leadership at the local, regional and national levels. Glisson has chaired the Health Law Section of the American Bar Association (ABA) and was recently selected to serve on the ABA Board of Governors and has served in other management capacities.

In addition, Glisson previously co-chaired the health and insurance practice group at a major regional law firm and chaired the practice group at another.

Glisson served as an adjunct professor of law at the University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law from 2011-15 and was a frequent guest lecturer at the University of Louisville School of Business.

Glisson earned her juris doctor degree from the University of Kentucky’s J. David Rosenberg College of Law and served as a clerk for the Kentucky Supreme Court. A Kentucky native, Glisson graduated magna cum laude from Georgetown College.
