Kentucky Derby Museum gala

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The Kentucky Derby Museum has rescheduled its 34th Annual Gala presented by Central Bank & Trust Co. The elegant evening filled with dinner and dancing, serves as the premier fundraising event for the Kentucky Derby Museum.

This year’s Kentucky Derby Museum Gala will be held on Friday, Aug. 28, 2020, starting at 6:00 pm. It marks the 34th year for the event. Michelle Mudd is serving as the 2020 Chair of the Kentucky Derby Museum Gala committee.

“This unprecedented year has been a challenge for the museum and for the community,” said Patrick Armstrong, CEO of the Kentucky Derby Museum. “We look forward to celebrating the Derby season and supporting the museum’s mission with all of our events – especially Gala.”

The Gala’s fundraising efforts help support the Museum’s curatorial and educational programs, and other program services of the Museum. Education programs are designed for students in Pre-K through 12th grade, using resources and programs related to the equine industry and the Kentucky Derby. In addition to the in-house education programs, the Museum’s traveling Education Outreach provides learning opportunities into schools across the region.

The night will once again kick-off with cocktails at The Mansion at Churchill Downs Racetrack. Guests will then move to the Museum for dinner, dessert, and dancing with The Celebrity All-Star band. Post-Party (dessert, drinks and dancing) tickets can be purchased separately for $150.00 at https://www.derbymuseum.org/postparty.html.

Tickets, tables and sponsorship packages are now available at DerbyMuseum.org or by contacting Sheridan Gates at [email protected].
