FRANKFORT, Ky. (Oct. 5, 2012) – Gov. Steve Beshear has made the following appointment to Kentucky boards and commissions:Gov. Beshear has appointed the following members to the Kentucky Board for Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy:• Andrea J. Cornuelle, of Highland Heights, is a professor of radiologic technology at Northern Kentucky University. She represents licensed radiographers whose primary work responsibilities are related to general radiography. Cornuelle shall serve for a term expiring Oct. 31, 2016.• Ellis W. Blanton, of Louisville, is an associate professor at St. Catharine College. He represents licensed radiographers whose primary work responsibilities are related to general radiography. Blanton shall serve for a term expiring Oct. 31, 2014.• Amy L. Adkins, of Winchester, is a radiology supervisor at Central Baptist Hospital. She represents licensed radiographers with a post-primary certification and whose primary work responsibilities are related to that post-primary certification. Akins shall serve for a term expiring Oct. 31, 2016.• Rebecca R. Baker, of Greenville, is a CT technologist at Trigg County Hospital. She represents licensed radiographers with a post-primary certification and whose primary work responsibilities are related to that post-primary certification. Baker shall serve for a term expiring Oct. 31, 2014.• Carol Scherbak, of Georgetown, is an assistant professor of radiation technology at St. Catharine College. She represents licensed nuclear medicine technologists. Scherbak shall serve for a term expiring Oct. 31, 2014.• Sheryl Abercrombie, of Nicholasville, is director, Chandler Radiology, at University of Kentucky Healthcare, Department of Radiology. She represents licensed radiation therapists. Abercrombie shall serve for a term expiring Oct. 31, 2016.• Vicky L. Poplin, of Frankfort, is a registered nurse at the Franklin County Health Department. She represents licensed limited X-ray machine operators. Poplin shall serve for a term expiring Oct. 31, 2014.• Cybil J. Nielsen, of Louisville, is an associate professor of nuclear medicine at Jefferson Community & Technical College. She represents a licensed medical imaging technologist or therapist who serves as an educator in an accredited program or as an administrator in a medical imaging or radiation therapy department. Nielsen shall serve for a term expiring Oct. 31, 2016.• Anne Marie Brown, of Louisville, is a therapist and consultant at Davis Brown Consulting LLC. She represents citizens at large.
