RSA Advisors, a Ross, Sinclaire & Associates spinoff, will specialize in serving municipalities

LEXINGTON, Ky. — Cincinnati-based investment banking, securities brokerage and asset management firm Ross, Sinclaire & Associates LLC will spin off its municipal advisory division as a new company called RSA Advisors LLC, based in Lexington, Ky. RSA Advisors will continue its 30-year tradition of providing municipal advisory services across Kentucky.

RSA Advisors serves in the capacity of fiduciary by advising and directing clients seeking access to capital markets for construction projects, borrowing, debt refinancing, long-term financial needs and strategic planning. The firm’s clients include Kentucky cities, counties, public school districts and special districts.

RSA Advisors will be led by Managing Directors Joe Lakofka and Dwight Salsbury. Other bankers who will remain a pivotal part of the new company include Dr. Bob Tarvin, Lincoln Theinert and Bryan Skinner.

“Other than our name, clients won’t experience any operational changes and will continue to receive the same level of expertise,” Lakofka said. “Our diverse group of municipal professionals has more than 75 years of combined experience and the transition will be seamless.”

RSA has been recognized by Thomson Reuters as the leading municipal advisor for Kentucky local governments and school districts. The firm advises 127 of Kentucky’s 172 public school districts.

“For three decades, RSA has been the leader in working with Kentucky school districts when they need assistance in funding capital projects, debt refinancing or strategic financial planning,” Salsbury said. “The same Kentucky school finance team that has been offering financial guidance remains intact and is poised to continue offering the outstanding service that we are known for.”
