LEXINGTON, Ky. — Dr. Madeline K. Fisher has joined CHI Saint Joseph Medical Group in Lexington, specializing in internal medicine and pediatrics. Fisher brings to the practice a passion for helping patients of all ages and a love for the Lexington community.
“I enjoy specializing in both internal medicine and pediatrics, where I can help kids at a young age, and then continue to help them as an adult,” said Fisher. “I was always amazed at how some physicians could see both an eight-month-old and an 80-year-old in a single day. I love having that breadth of knowledge to care for different patients.”
While in high school in Ashland, Ky., Fisher shadowed in doctors’ offices and later volunteered at Kentucky Children’s Hospital. She enjoyed working with children and said her love for medicine was cemented during her time in the Professional Education Preparation Program (PEPP) at the University of Kentucky.
Fisher received her bachelor of arts in biology from Transylvania University and her doctor of medicine from the UK College of Medicine. She completed a dual residency at UK in internal medicine and pediatrics. During medical school, Fisher volunteered at the UK Salvation Army Clinic and also mentored students in her medical school.
Although she is an Ashland native, Fisher is a self-proclaimed, “Lexington transplant.” Fisher enjoys cooking, baking and spending time with her friends and family, and traveling.
“CHI Saint Joseph Health’s values – compassion, inclusion, integrity, excellence and collaboration – all resonate with me,” said Fisher. “All of the team members are extremely warm and welcoming, and I’m looking forward to meeting all of my new patients and having an open line of communication with them.”
Fisher is accepting new patients. Her office is located at 211 Fountain Court, Suite 120 in Lexington. To make an appointment with Fisher, visit www.CHISaintJosephHealth.org or call (859) 629-7245.
