LEXINGTON, Ky. — Robert Canina has been named system executive director of construction and energy services for Baptist Health, effective Aug. 24.
In his new role, Canina will be responsible for standardization and consistency for Baptist Health construction projects, construction oversight and leadership for projects, as well as energy management and tracking of energy conservation measures.
Canina has been regional executive director of facility construction at Baptist Health Lexington since 2015. He has more than 30 years of strategic planning and concentrated healthcare project management and leadership experience nationally, exceeding $3 billion in projects. Before Baptist, he was project executive at the Hammes Co., a Milwaukee-based healthcare project management firm, for seven years.
Earlier in his career, Canina worked as a project architect and in healthcare planning and strategic facility master planning.
