LEXINGTON, Ky — U.S. Congressman Andy Barr (KY-06) on Tuesday received the Guardian of Small Business Award from the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB). It is the most prestigious award that the organization gives to members of Congress for supporting legislation helpful to small businesses and opposing legislation that is harmful to small businesses.
“From the beginning of the pandemic, I advocated a powerful fiscal response from Congress to support our small business owners during these unprecedented challenges,” Barr said.
“We are proud to recognize Congressman Andy Barr for earning this distinction in the 116th Congress by taking pro-small business votes supporting financial assistance programs and tax relief and opposing new regulations and increased labor costs,” said Kevin Kuhlman, NFIB vice president of federal government relations.
