Broadway-themed mini golf course to open on the stage of the Lexington Opera House

LEXINGTON, Ky. — Though stage performances are on hold due to COVID-19, the virus hasn’t stopped creativity. The Lexington Opera House has announced plans to open a mini-golf course on the stage of the historic downtown performance venue that will feature nine Broadway-themed putting greens.

The course will be open on a reservations-only basis every Friday through Sunday throughout the winter, beginning Dec. 11. The number of players is limited to four people per party, but after teeing off, the course can be played as many times as possible within the 90-minute time allocation.

Each hole has a show theme, including “Hamilton,” “The Music Man,” “Cinderella” and more. Players can save a stroke if able to answer a Broadway trivia question correctly for each hole. And anyone who scores a hole-in-one on the final hole will see their name in lights the following week on the new Opera House marquee!

Reservations are $10 per person and must be purchased in advance through Ticketmaster at lexingtonoperahouse.com/minigolf. Reservations open Dec. 4, with additional tee times made available every Thursday.

The course is also available for birthday parties and other private events. Face coverings are required at all times and social distancing will be strictly enforced.
