LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Ford Motor Co. is partnering with local dealerships and nonprofits throughout Louisville and Lexington to distribute nearly 320,000 medical-grade face masks throughout the region as Kentucky reports a record surge in COVID-19 cases.
The donation brings the total to more than 3 million recent PPE donations made by Ford across Kentucky, including a recent donation of 500,000 masks that Ford made to the city of Louisville last month. The donations have been made possible through The Ford Fund, the philanthropic arm of the company.
Beginning Thursday, face masks will be distributed to organizations in need throughout Louisville and Lexington by 22 local Ford dealerships and six local nonprofits.
