Susan G. Komen closing Kentucky office

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Susan G. Komen has announced the closing of its Kentucky office in Louisville. The organization has raised millions of dollars for breast cancer research and treatment through its annual Race for the Cure events.

The nonprofit will centralize operations at its national headquarters in Dallas as part of a plan to focus on direct patient advocacy and research. Komen group gives more than $530,000 in local grants for breast cancer programs.
