WTC Kentucky announces 2021 Board of Directors

LEXINGTON, Ky. — The World Trade Center Kentucky (WTC-KY) has announced one new director to the Board and two new directors to the Executive Council. Newly appointed Directors are:
  • Bryan Aviles, Technology and Innovation Manager of D.D. Williamson; Board of Directors
  • Bob Helton, Development Specialist of AppHarvest; Executive Committee
  • Parashar Joshi, Vice President of Global Operations and Supply Chain of Valvoline; Executive Committee
Aviles is an accomplished global product development leader, specializing in the food industry. Originally from Bolivia and a transplant from Washington, D.C., Aviles currently serves as the Technology and Innovation Manager for DDW in Louisville, Kentucky. He directs global product and technology development that leverages legacy intellectual property to capture regional market opportunities.
Helton has over 30 years of experience with marketing, sales, and public relations within the construction and mining industries. He spent four years as the Executive Director for Morehead-Rowan County EDC, preceded by ten years with RJ Corman Railroad Group. Helton’s involvement with several industry associations includes Kentuckians for Better Transportation, American Railroad Maintenance Engineers, American Short Line Railroad Association, and several state-level rail associations.
Joshi joined Valvoline in 2013 leading their Global Operations and Supply Chain functions. Joshi was born in India and raised in Cincinnati and has worked in the industry since 1998, bringing extensive experience to the council. He currently represents Valvoline on two different Board of Directors; Lexington Habitat for Humanity and Valvoline Cummins Private Limited (VCPL) in India.
We are excited to retain Bob Helton on our Executive Committee, as well as, adding new and exceptional skills with Bryan Aviles and Parashar Joshi. Both Valvoline and D. D. Williamson are long-time partners of the center and I am also honored to be working with them on a new and higher level”, said WTC-KY President Sherry Mulkins.” We are looking forward to an incredible 2021 with the international trade and business talent that sits on our Board of Directors,” Mulkins stated.
