AAF – Louisville announces 2021 ADDY award winners

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – On Thursday, March 4th the American Advertising Federation – Louisville (AAF – Louisville) hosted its premier creative competition, the American Advertising Awards. For the 47th consecutive year, this awards ceremony recognized outstanding local creative work in the areas of advertising and marketing and presented winners with coveted ADDY awards.

This year’s event was held entirely virtual. With the help of Media Pros Productions, the organization was able to create an engaging experience for attendees who were able to celebrate safely from home. The event was also sponsored by United Mail, Business First, and Korbel. Take-out dinner options were provided by Le Moo.

The event hosted over 80 attendees and presented 68 awards to 26 local companies, agencies, individuals, and schools.

The ADDYs are awarded in two categories, Gold and Silver. There are also special categories including Best of Show, Judge’s Choice Awards, and The People’s Choice Award which are determined by attendees on the night of the gala. AAF – Louisville also presents Local Only Awards including, “Culturally Legit” – which recognizes local advertising creative that authentically represents diversity in culture.

“Much about the way we interact together has changed over the last year, including our awards celebration, but one thing has remained the same  – the caliber of the creative work coming out of the advertising industry right here in Louisville,” said Allison Deely, Executive Director for AAF-Louisville. “Our creatives were collectively challenged with finding new ways to communicate and present ideas for their clients and that really shines through in the award entries we saw. Congratulations to all of the winners!”

Winning an ADDY is the first step in the three-tiered American Advertising Awards process. The second step is the District 5 competition, with winners competing against other advertising clubs in Kentucky, Ohio, and West Virginia. District winners will be eligible to move to the third tier of the competition for a chance to be recognized on a national level.
