GLI diversity series to discuss local response to racism, path forward

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — One year after the death of Breonna Taylor, how is Louisville healing? How are local organizations responding to the racism in our community? These topics take center stage during Greater Louisville Inc.’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Event Series’ upcoming virtual event, “Racial Healing and Transformation,” March 25 from 2 to 3 p.m.

GLI created the event series in 2019 to bring light the importance of DEI topics within business, to highlight businesses leading DEI efforts, and the benefits of implementing conscious and thoughtful approaches to these topics. The series serves as a resource for GLI investors, because “prioritizing diversity, equity, and inclusion is not only the right thing to do, it’s also good for business,” GLI said.

Speakers include Rashaad Abdur-Rahman, founder and CEO of Louisville Racial Healing Project and Michael Signer, former mayor of Charlottesville, Va. Registration is required.
