Volunteers needed for 2021 PGA Tour Barbasol Championship

NICHOLASVILLE, Ky. – Volunteer registration for the 2021 PGA TOUR Barbasol Championship is now open. The Barbasol Championship returned to Kentucky in 2019 and was awarded a five-year extension to host the event through 2023 at Champions at Keene Trace in Nicholasville, Ky., just outside of Lexington. The 2021 Barbasol Championship will be played July 15-18.

“More than 1,000 volunteers help bring the Barbasol Championship to life ever year,” said Bryan Pettigrew, tournament director. “Our volunteers are truly the heartbeat of the tournament and allow us to allocate essential resources to the six local charities we’re supporting this year through Caddie127. We couldn’t do it without them or our official volunteer sponsor, Commonwealth Credit Union.”

Volunteer opportunities

Golf knowledge isn’t required to volunteer. The Barbasol Championship tournament has a variety of opportunities for golfers and non-golfers alike.

Volunteer assignments range from on-course marshals, standard bearers, and TV spotters to merchandise volunteers, shuttle drivers, Pro-Am operations and more. A full list of committees can be viewed at https://barbasolchampionship.com/volunteer-2021/. Committees are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.

Returning and new volunteers must complete online registration at https://barbasolchampionship.com/volunteer-2021/.
