St. Catharine College has opened a new $4.2 million dorm to help house its growing student population. Founded in 1931, the college was a two-year institution until 2003, when it gained accreditation to offer bachelor’s degrees. Since then, the school has experienced significant growth and saw a 34 percent increase in enrollment from spring 2008 to fall 2008. The new dormitory will house 74 students.
