Consumer Choice Awards go to four Kentucky hospitals

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (Oct. 30, 2012) — Four Kentucky hospitals received Consumer Choice Awards from the National Research Corp.

Baptist East was chosen as the No. 1 healthcare facility in the Louisville Metro area for the seventh-consecutive year. It has won the honor 10 times.

“We are very honored to be recognized by our community for the high quality of our patient care, having the best physicians and nurses, and our excellent reputation,” said David Gray, president of Baptist East.

Other Kentucky winners are: Central Baptist in Lexington, The Medical Center in Bowling Green, and the University of Kentucky Albert B. Chandler Medical Center in Lexington.

Winners of the 2012/2013 Consumer Choice Awards are determined by consumer perceptions of quality and image. Consumers were asked about the overall quality of the hospital, the expertise of its physicians and nurses and the image and reputation of the facility.

The award identifies hospitals which healthcare consumers have chosen as having the highest quality and image in over 300 markets throughout the U.S. This is the 17th year NRC has awarded hospitals whose consumers have recognized them for providing the highest quality healthcare.

NRC’s Healthcare Market Guide Ticker™ Survey, from which the results were drawn, has a margin of error of + or – 0.2 percent at a national level.
