LOUISVILLE, Ky. — MCM CPAs & Advisors, an accounting and business advisory firm headquartered in Louisville, Ky., recently welcomed Chris Purvis, CPA, to its team as an assurance partner.
Purvis has more than 17 years of experience providing audit and advisory services for financial institutions. Previously, he was with Elliott Davis in Charlotte, N.C., where he was the leader of the Charlotte audit practice as well as the leader of the firm’s financial services group for the North Carolina and Kentucky territories.
His experiences include assisting his clients with de novo bank formation, mergers and acquisitions, consent order remediation, branch purchases and sales, and capital raises. Purvis was also previously employed as the controller of a mid-sized community bank based in Kentucky.
Purvis is a member of the University of Kentucky Accounting Advisory Board and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He attended the Kentucky Bankers Association General School of Banking and the North Carolina Bankers Association Regulatory Compliance School. He also attended the University of Kentucky, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance.
