Stonerside Stable has been sold to Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum’s Darley for an undisclosed price. Included in the transaction are the 2,000-acre farm near Paris, approximately 80 horses in training, plus approximately 170 broodmares, yearlings and weanlings. The transaction also includes Stonerside’s training center in Aiken, S.C. Bob McNair, who with his wife, Janice, founded Stonerside in 1994, said his commitment to his Houston Texans NFL football team has demanded more of his time and was the primary factor in his decision to sell Stonerside.
