Integrity Alliance with Biodefense Creates 125 Jobs

By wmadministrator

Integrity Manufacturing, a precision machining company headquartered in Shepherdsville, has formed a strategic alliance with Boston-based BioDefense Corp. to build homeland security products.

The alliance to build the BioDefense MailDefender involves a $100 million-plus contract over five years and will result in the addition of 125 new jobs at Integrity.

The MailDefender was developed to provide organizations with increased control over a potentially uncontrollable situation: the risk of bio-contamination through the mail. The system, which is the first of its kind in the world, decontaminates mail at the point of entry using commercialized disinfection technologies and alerts the user of the presence of anthrax, smallpox and/or ricin.
