New Release: Booker’s Noe Strangers Batch

By The Bourbon Flight

Booker’s Bourbon is releasing the fourth and final batch of its 2021 collection. Dubbed Noe Strangers Batch, it pays homage to the personability of former master distiller Booker Noe.

Bottled at 62.2% abv, it was aged 6 and a half years in charred white oak barrels. Stranger’s Batch is available nationwide in limited quantities. Previous releases in the 2021 Batch Collection include Donohoe’s Batch, Tagalong Batch, and Bardstown Batch.

Aromas include vanilla and brown spice, with a sweetness that continues upon the first sip, according to the distillery. The initial heat isn’t overwhelming and leaves a taste that’s balanced with a warm finish.

The batch is made up of barrels from four production dates that were aged in four different warehouses. The breakdown of barrel storage for Booker’s Noe Strangers Batch is as follows:

  • 3% came from the 2nd floor of 9-story warehouse H
  • 27% came from the 5th floor of 9-story warehouse D
  • 39% came from the 6th floor of 9-story warehouse J
  • 31% came from the 5th floor of 7-story warehouse Q
