LOUISVILLE, Ky. — For the second year in a row, Business Facilities Magazine named the Louisville MSA third in its Top 10 list of global and metro logistics hubs. This comes off a record year of growth and investment in both the manufacturing and logistics sectors throughout the Greater Louisville region.
The national publication annually ranks top regions in a variety of industries and sizes. BF’s ‘Logistics Leaders’ ranking measures all forms of transportation logistics, including shipping by air, rail, water and highway. BF is the leading source of intelligence on corporate expansion and relocation since 1968, covering the full range of the experience, from “how-to” information on comparing the financial incentives offered by different communities around the world, to profiles of the latest relocations undertaken by major corporations.

Since 2016, the Greater Louisville region announced 66 new expansion or attraction projects in the logistics and distribution industry totaling over 8,600 jobs. Logistics industry employment in the region grew by 27.2 percent since 2016 and despite the pandemic grew by 11.2 percent from 2019 to 2021.
