Appointments to Kentucky Boards and Commissions

FRANKFORT, Ky. — Gov. Andy Beshear has made the following appointments to Kentucky boards and commissions:

Appointed David Davila as the Magistrate for the Sixth District of Scott County.

Appointed Kelly Rabinowitz as a member of the Kentucky Community and Technical College System Board of Regents.

  • Kelly Rabinowitz of Versailles is the owner of Amsden Bourbon Bar. She replaces Lisa Desmarais, whose term has expired, and shall serve for a term expiring July 21, 2028.

Reappointed David Samford and Daniel Venters as members of the Executive Branch Ethics Commission.

  • David Samford of Lexington is general counsel at East Kentucky Power Cooperative and shall serve for a term expiring May 27, 2025.
  • Daniel Venters of Somerset is a retired lawyer and former justice of the Kentucky Supreme Court and shall serve for a term expiring May 27, 2026.

Appointed Corinne Murphy as a member of the Education Professional Standards Board. Reappointed Jacqueline Mayfield, Justin Mitchell, Elijah Edwards, Traci Hunt, Merideth Pittman and Timothy Wooster.

  • Corinne Murphy of Bowling Green is Dean of the College of Education and Behavioral Sciences at Western Kentucky University. She replaces Sherry Wilson Powers, who has resigned and shall serve for the remainder of the unexpired term ending June 30, 2024.
  • Jacqueline Mayfield of Louisville is a teacher at Jefferson County Public Schools and shall serve for a term expiring June 30, 2025.
  • Justin Mitchell of Bowling Green is a teacher at Simpson County Schools and shall serve for a term expiring June 30, 2025.
  • Elijah Edwards of Danville is a teacher at Boyle County Schools and shall serve for a term expiring June 30, 2025.
  • Traci Hunt of Elizabethtown is a principal at Jefferson County Public Schools and shall serve for a term expiring June 30, 2025.
  • Merideth Pittman of Danville is a teacher at Boyle County Schools and shall serve for a term expiring June 30, 2025.
  • Timothy Wooster of Wilmore is the provost at Asbury University and shall serve for a term expiring June 30, 2025.

Appointed Thomas Rexford Cecil as a member of the Kentucky Board of Architects.

  • Thomas Rexford Cecil of Versailles is an architect. He replaces Joseph Hayes, whose term has expired, and shall serve for a term expiring July 17, 2026.

Appointed Benjamin Shinabery and Jeffrey Kelley as members of the Geographic Information Advisory Council.

  • Benjamin Shinabery of Simpsonville is a land surveyor at QK4 Inc. He replaces Timothy Tong, whose term has expired, and shall serve for a term expiring July 17, 2026.
  • Jeffrey Kelley of Dixon is the Webster County PVA and shall serve for a term expiring July 17, 2026.
