2nd District, Lexington, Kentucky Realtor, Building the Bluegrass

Josh McCurn is currently serving his second term and seeking a third on Lexington’s City Council. In 2018, he ran for office focusing on public safety, building community unity and striving to provide a better future for all Lexingtonians and businesses. Outside of serving on the City Council, McCurn is a Realtor who understands the growing needs of Lexington, especially as they pertain to businesses and affordable housing.

After graduating from West Chester University of Pennsylvania with a bachelor’s degree in political science, McCurn found a home in Lexington where he and his wife, Paige, raise two boys, Adam (11) and Chase (6). McCurn serves on several boards and commissions, focusing on youth advocacy, veteran affairs, and budget and finance. He also serves on his children’s PTAs and as a youth soccer coach and mentor.

Through his first two terms in office, McCurn’s focus has remained on getting a handle on crime and supporting public safety. McCurn has created transparency in his district by hosting forums, town hall meetings, input sessions and frequenting community events. He continues to help the business community address issues surrounding safety, access, growth and advocacy.

In seeking re-election, McCurn remains focused on providing a safe city in which to live, work, learn and play. He continues to advocate for a long-term vision for Lexington that includes keeping and bringing jobs to the city.
