Johnson Controls has announced plans to move its foam headrest and armrest production from the Johnson Controls Inc. FoaMech plant in Georgetown to its manufacturing facility in Saltillo, Mexico. The shift in operations will affect some 108 of the FoaMech plant’s 375 employees, who are being placed on “layoff with recall rights” status. The reorganization will not affect employees who work in other parts of the FoaMech plant or at the Johnson Controls Inc. Seating plant in Georgetown.
