LEXINGTON, Ky. — Blue Grass Airport (LEX) announced United Airlines will begin operating daily non-stop flights from Lexington to Denver, Colo. Beginning Sept. 29, 2023, this new flight will serve as a gateway to Denver and provide travelers with connecting access to more than 70 westbound destinations including the western United States, Alaska, Hawaii, Western Canada, Mexico and Japan.
“This is great news for Lexingtonians and all of central Kentucky,” said Eric Frankl, president & CEO of Blue Grass Airport. “This non-stop route to Denver, with all its connection possibilities to the West, has long been a highly desired destination for travelers flying from Blue Grass Airport. I hope our passengers will thank United Airlines for providing this new service by flying United when their business or personal travel needs include Denver or destinations west.”
Service will be provided on a 76-seat, ERJ-175 aircraft that includes a first-class cabin with 12 seats. Flights will be offered daily and are on sale now at www.united.com.

The addition is a result of United’s ambitious United Next plan and part of a larger United announcement of 35 new flights, a dozen new gates and three new clubs in Denver.

With 300 days of sunshine a year, Denver is a great destination for leisure travelers. It boasts a large and very walkable downtown and a live music scene including spectacular Red Rocks Park & Amphitheatre. Many of Colorado’s top ski resorts including Vail, Keystone, Breckenridge, Beaver Creek, Copper Mountain and Winter Park are just a little more than an hour from Denver. Rocky Mountain National Park is also just 70 miles away.
In addition to non-stop service to Denver, United Airlines offers three daily flights between Blue Grass Airport and Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD). Members of United Club receive complimentary admission to Blue Grass Airport’s business lounge, The Club at Blue Grass, located in Concourse B.
