Louisville officials to hear update on Ohio River Bridges Project

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (Dec. 11, 2012) — The Metro Council’s Public Works, Bridges and Transportation Committee will receive an update on the Ohio River Bridges Projects when they meet Thursday.

“I have invited the key players in the project to give the committee a progress report on how the project is moving forward,” said Councilman Brent Ackerson, who chairs the committee.

Appearing before the committee will be:

– Ron Heustis, Indiana Department of Transportation Project Manager;

– Andy Barber, the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet Project Manager;

– John Sacksteder, PE Project Manager Community Transportation Solutions – General Engineering Consultant Louisville – Southern Indiana Ohio River Bridges Project

KYTC is responsible for the construction of all of the proposed Downtown Bridge and INDOT has assumed that role for the construction of the East End Bridge.
