VERSAILLES, Ky. – The Kentucky Community and Technical College System website was named to the Top 10 list of campus websites for 2023 by Modern Campus, the content management system vendor that sponsored the excellence in website design and management awards.
The winners were selected from a field of 4,500 higher education websites that use its platform, according to the company’s news release.
“As our most important recruitment tool, the website offers students and prospective students a seamless, easy-to-navigate experience as they explore colleges, search for programs and make career choices,” said Brady Shultz, system director of marketing and recruitment. “It’s great to have this third-party endorsement of our work.”
The judges noted the brand consistency across all 16 colleges was a key factor for KCTCS’ award. Web users can log on at KCTCS.edu and seamlessly search all college domains and the programs offered at all colleges with one look and feel.
Over a 12-month period, the KCTCS website had over 40 million page views, 916,000 searches, 3.7 million clicks from the searches and 68 million impressions.
Websites were assessed for their excellence in the areas of engaging design, easy navigation with clear calls to action, mobile friendliness, integrated catalogs with up-to-date career data, personalized experiences and brand consistency across subdomains.
