SSI of Lancaster hires consulting firm to expand federal sales

Company provides contractors to assist Armed Services in Middle East

LANCASTER, Ky. (Jan. 7, 2013) — Sustainment Solutions Inc., a leading Veteran-owned engineering services provider in Iraq, Afghanistan and Kuwait and based in Lancaster, Ky., has hired Oxley Consulting, LLC of Washington, D.C., to increase business development opportunities with the federal government.

SSI currently employs over 70 contractors in mission critical areas to serve the nation’s Armed Services such as Iraq and Afghanistan. The company has experienced triple-digit growth year-over-year.

“2013 is poised to be another strong year for SSI thanks to our excellent relationship with our business partners and our mutual ability to consistently answer the call for the warfighter’s safety,” said Scott Shinn, CEO of SSI. “2013 will also be a year of growth into new markets, serving new prime contractors and growing into new service sectors. We hired Oxley to open up their excellent Rolodex, and their government contracting guide book. We look forward to growing with them.”

Oxley will initiate applications for SSI’s Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSB) and HUBZone certifications.

“Concurrently, we will strategically target several of Defense Department’s most successful large prime contractors in order to establish a Mentor Protégé relationship,” said Elvis Oxley, president of Oxley Consulting. “Several new lines of service capabilities are being considered.”
