General Equipment & Supplies, Inc. expands Link-Belt sales territory to Minnesota

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Feb. 14, 2012) — General Equipment & Supplies, Inc., Link-Belt’s authorized dealer in North Dakota, has expanded its territory into the state of Minnesota, USA.

Skeeter Collins, manager, North American sales, Link-Belt Construction Equipment Co. made the announcement at Link-Belt’s headquarters in Lexington, Kentucky, USA. General Equipment & Supplies began in 1984 in a down economy and since then their business has grown exponentially.

They became a Link-Belt distributor in 2009. As they move into Minnesota, they look to provide the highest quality equipment available and protect their customer’s investments by employing the best people and technology in the industry.

“General Equipment has already proven themselves an outstanding Link-Belt distributor in North Dakota,” said Collins. “We look forward to our customers in Minnesota getting to know their team and exceptional service.”

“General Equipment is excited about our appointment to be the Link-Belt dealer in Minnesota,” said Don Shilling, General Equipment’s president. “We feel it is a perfect fit for us and a perfect fit for what is happening in this region. The synergy between the oil boom of western North Dakota and the migration of many Minnesota customers into that market will make crane sales and sharing of inventory between the two states not only wise but also very practical.”

General Equipment & Supplies will serve Minnesota from branches in Hibbing and Shakopee. For more information go to www.genequip.com.
